The Challenge
During a time when physical gatherings were impossible, Mattel’s world-class doll design team needed a creative release. They weren't looking for another meeting; they were looking for a playground—a virtual experience that celebrated their brand DNA and allowed for pure, creative fun.

The Strategy

Conceptualized and produced a "Hello Kitty Summer Camp" for adults—a multi-sensory retreat focusing on three pillars: Mixology, Culinary Craft, and High-Energy Entertainment.

 

The Execution

Tactile Engagement:

  • Bespoke Mixology: Partnered with a master mixologist to develop three signature craft cocktails and designed custom recipe cards as brand souvenirs.

  • "Mini Kake" Kit Logistics: Managed the complex logistics of shipping custom "Cake Kits" to every invitee across the country. This included a collaboration with a premier LA-based baker to produce a high-definition instructional video for real-time assembly.

  • The Live Finale: A live Hello Kitty DJ emceed a high-octane group karaoke session, bridging the physical gap between attendees.

 

The Impact

By blending high-touch logistics with immersive entertainment, the event provided the Mattel team with a much-needed mental reset. It fostered a deep sense of community and reinforced the brand’s creative spirit, proving that human connection isn't bound by physical space.
